Hyde Barn Wedding Photographs and Family Images
A recent wedding at Hyde Barn in the Cotswolds allowed me to experiment with my photography for a few different shots. For these photographs I used a Nikon FM2, Kodak Portra Portra 400 and Fuji Superia 400 Xtra film, trying out different combinations and lighting techniques. Luckily I’ve had a few events in the Cotswolds recently so I’ve been able to test out the latitude and scalability of the film in a number of different exposure situations.
Vintage Wedding Film Photography
Hyde Barn is a lovely wedding venue and the Nikon FM2 is a brilliant camera, I’ve always had a fondness for the older mechanical 35mm cameras. They have a great sturdy, vintage quality as well as brilliant reliability (my Praktica is over 25 years old). The best part of about the Nikon FM2 is the Nikon F-Mount system, which allows me to use all my current Nikon lenses (especially the primes). The Nikon FM2 is a very ergonomic camera, which feels extremely well built and creates great tone and sharp pictures! For the detail shots I over exposed my film which gives them a wonderful bright look as well as helping to give natural tones and shadows. The Photograph of the wedding favours is one of my favourite photographs from 2013!
